Time For An Update

Where did the time go?

Mostly packing, moving, saying good byes and sending kids to Kamp at, what felt like, a hundred miles per hour.

So this post will be a catching up of sorts of where we’ve been the last week or so and hopefully will fill in some of the gaps from our last post.

Friday, June 26, 2020: Community!

In the middle of all the chaos our Community Group of 8 great years provided a much needed pause and time together for a meal and chance to say our “see ya laters”. It was such a sweet time of encouragement. Not only tears but - well check out this link and hopefully it works! (with lyrics so you can sing along):

Saturday, June 27 and Sunday, June 28, 2020: Moving!

And boy did we move! After dropping off Hope at the buses for Kamp (5:30am!) we hit the ground running with moving our stuff to storage - shout out to the Fowlers and Smiths, who were machines, and our Community Group along with Cynthia Culver in helping move and clean! You know people love you when they help you move!

Sunday, June 28, 2020: Wedding!

Wedding? Why not? You’re done moving all your stuff - what else are you going to do especially when it’s one of your best friends! Congratulations to Adam Buttorff and his bride, Angelica, for tying the knot!

Monday, June 29, 2020: Bar A L Ranch - getting to the rig!

Thankful for Kristi and Adam Goldenberg for letting us crash at their place one last time before heading out to Kaufman and the Bar A L Ranch where the rig was parked. We needed to run some errands and tie up loose ends, i.e. post office, returning modems, updating and upgrading our cell phones and of course the bank. Who knew all of that would take so much time? Especially when you get locked in the vault at your bank! Yes - dropped off a few things in the safe deposit box and got locked in. Thankfully after a few tries and after the fire department was called I was set free. We finally got to our destination late Monday afternoon to yet again, more faithful friends and the proprietors of the Bar A L Ranch, Al and Carol Nail. We are forever grateful to all our friends and community for their generosity and hospitality.

Monday, June 29, 2020: Evening set back…

Went to power up the rig and the AC is not working so we’re still in TX waiting for our service appointment at McClains RV Superstore in Denton tomorrow morning! But hey - in the meantime can't beat these accommodations! Grateful and Thankful!

See you on the road.
